A Czech in Peru, six years into the same search you're on
My name is Ales. I was born in the Czech Republic, and six years ago I moved to Peru — not for a job posting or a two-year contract, but because I wanted to build a life somewhere I'd actually chosen, on terms I'd actually set. That meant working through the same maze most of my clients are working through now: which country gets to tax what, which bank will actually open an account for a foreigner, and which residency paperwork is real versus a rumor on a forum.
Along the way I ended up helping other expats and remote workers do the same thing — first informally, then as the actual work I do. That's how I found Paraguay: not as a theory, but as one of the few places where the process genuinely matches what it promises on paper. I partnered with a Paraguayan immigration law firm with 35 years of practice so the people I work with get both sides — someone who's lived the relocation from the outside, and lawyers who handle the filing from the inside.
"I didn't move for a lower tax bill. I moved for the freedom to decide where and how I live — the lower tax bill is just what made it sustainable. That's what I actually help people get." — Ales, founder
